Hands of Agape operates as a non-profit 501c3 organization based in Central California. While physically located in Central California, our mission extends to serve all skilled nursing residents throughout the state. As a testament to our commitment, we strive to expand our reach to the entire United States by 2040.
Hands of Agape is currently seeking volunteers in Central California to visit with skilled nursing residents.

Our history
Founded in 2022 by Mao Lee, a seasoned business development professional, Hands of Agape operates as
a 501c3 entity, committed to addressing the unmet needs of skilled nursing residents.
Before founding Hands of Agape, Mao worked with skilled nursing facilities across California. During this time, she saw firsthand the challenges faced by long-term care residents—more than 77,500 of whom currently live in such facilities across the state.
Moved by the deep need for connection and support among these individuals, Mao developed strong bonds with many residents. Though she wished to be a companion to each one, she quickly realized that real, lasting impact would require a collective effort. This realization sparked the creation of Hands of Agape.
With the contribution and support of our community, we can accomplish more together and make a positive difference in the lives of skilled nursing residents.
Our Mission
Hands of Agape is a non-profit (501c3) organization dedicated to enriching the lives of skilled nursing residents in California by showing God's love through the provision of goods, services, and resources. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for these residents, addressing their unique needs and fostering a sense of compassion and community.
